Welcome to a soft place to land.
I’m glad you’ve found your way here.
For many of us, the story of our faith and the story of our identity have lived in two different worlds. You may have spent years navigating environments where belonging was conditional—where your worth was measured against rigid expectations, and your true self was something to be managed, hidden, or "fixed."
Perhaps you’ve reached a point where the cost of that performance is too high. You are left with the fragments of a belief system that once provided comfort, but now feels like a source of profound disconnection. You are not just looking for a new label; you are looking for a way to reconstruct a life where your faith and your sexuality are no longer at war.
Religious trauma often leaves behind a specific kind of grief. It is the loss of a community, a shared language, and a sense of cosmic safety. In our work together, we create a soft place to land to explore these fragments without judgment.
I hold deep care for those navigating spiritual abuse, church hurt, or wrestling with their faith. I hope to offer a space where your beliefs, questions, doubts, and sense of meaning can be explored freely-at a pace that honors your story, without pressure or agenda. I welcome clients across the spectrum-devout, questioning, deconstructing, spiritual, or non-religious.
You can find me in person at my Loop or Humboldt Park locations, or we can meet from the comfort of your own space via telehealth.

What to expect
Paperwork and Waiting
I will provide you with paperwork to complete either before coming to your initial session or as you wait. Our waiting rooms are quiet, private, and warm. Have a seat and I will come find you when the time comes.
First Session
During our first session, we will create a space to get to know each other in a safe environment. This helps me understand your hopes and intentions for therapy. Together, we can talk about next steps.
Let’s connect
I am currently welcoming clients for in-person sessions at our Loop and Humboldt Park offices, or via telehealth on Mondays through Thursdays.
My clinical approach
My approach to therapy is depth-based and LGBTQ+ affirming. Rather than offering surface-level fixes or empathizing you to death, we’ll focus on helping you uncover the deeper roots of your challenges.
Together, we’ll explore the patterns, emotions, and survival mechanisms that have shaped your life—and work toward loosening their hold. See how my approach shapes our work →
The power of story is in its telling. When we give voice to our story, we cannot help but be changed by it.
